Winter

It’s time to tidy the garden for its winter sleep, because you don’t want to be walking on a frosty lawn. Deciduous trees and shrubs and woody ornamental plants need their last trim. Keep paths clear and take care of planters for a final winter blush. Don’t forget our critter friends – consider putting up a squirrel feeder to distract them from taking food you’ve put out for the birds.

Not so much gardening to be done

There’s still time in November to start amaryllis bulbs for a Christmas flowering. Then it’s time to sit back and enjoy those seed catalogues and look forward to a new season.
